<p>A hand held appliance such as a hair dryer comprises a body 30 having an outer wall 360, a duct 310a, 310b extending at least partially along the body 30 within the outer wall 360, an interior passage extending about the duct 301a, 301b for receiving a primary fluid flow. The primary fluid flow exits the body 30 via a primary fluid outlet 440. The duct may be formed from two parts, a first part 310a which is fixed to the inner wall and a second part 310b which connects to the first part. The primary fluid outlet 440 is defined by the duct 310a and an inner wall 120 of the body 30. The inner wall 120 may extend towards the duct 310a and may extend radially around the duct 310a. At least one spacer may be provided between the inner wall 120 and the duct 310a. The at least one spacer may be a supporting rib 130. A sealing gasket 116 may be provided between the outer wall 360 and the inner wall 120.</p> |
