A radar target tracking system for an active or semi-active missile subject to a jamming source initially operates in a home-on-jam mode. After a short interval the mode reverts to a search mode for a passive target which, if found, switches the mode to track the passive target. If no passive target is found within a limited period an assessment is made of the jammer range by comparing the initial and current jamming signal strength. If the jamming source is within missile range the missile continues to track it, locking out the normal search mode. |
