a plurality of storage nodes comprising a plurality of corresponding storage disks and configured to store data in a distributed manner between the storage disks, wherein the system achieves a Redundant Array of Independent Disks-0 (RAID0) performance based on positioning information and without indexing the distributed data, wherein the positioning information comprises a (key, value) pair that is stored in a distributed hash table (DHT) and used to retrieve a value associated with a key, and wherein the DHT is distributed over the storage nodes and is self-managed by the storage nodes.
