<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recorder and an image processing method capable of reducing color shift generated by deviation of attachment of a recording head from a nozzle arrangement direction.SOLUTION: A control part 30 makes each of plural recording head units 10, 12, 14, 16 form a line image respectively, based on line chart image data for forming the line-state line image extending in a direction vertical to a nozzle row direction on predetermined pixel positions, where are determined for each of the plural recording heads in advance. The control part 30 specifies an error of image formation positions among the recording head units 10, 12, 14, 16 specified from the line images formed by the plural recording units 10, 12, 14, 16 respectively for each of the recording heads. Then the control part 30 decides a correction position of a discharge image data for each of the recording head, based on the specified error for each of the recording heads, and inserts or deletes a pixel to the decided correction positions, for correcting discharge image data.</p> |
