<p>The present invention relates to an electronic parking brake and a control method thereof, which comprises: a housing keeping components; a parking cable connecting with a brake and supplying a brake force; a screw member connected to one side of the parking cable, and pulling and loosening the parking cable via linear motion; a motor with a permanent magnet, generating a driving force for the linear motion of the screw member; and a hall sensor detecting the number of revolutions in the forward and reverse direction by generating a trigger signal when the permanent magnet passes during the time the motor rotates.</p> |
