<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the data amount of an OB area to record, while suppressing a deterioration of correction processing using the data of the OB area when the correction processing is performed before recording image data.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises: imaging means which contains an imaging device including an effective imaging area and an optical black (B) area; reduction means which, when predetermined conditions are satisfied, reduces the data amount of OB area data corresponding to the OB area in image data obtained by the imaging means; and recording means which records the image data after the processing by the reduction means.</p> |
