<p>A method for treating waste material is disclosed. Release coated cellulose or polymeric sheets, consisting of liners for holding self-adhesive labels or films, are collect from producers and end users in the form of dense, bulky masses (29a), such as rolls and stacks. The collected material is then mixed and prepared by separating foreign bodies, such as metals etc. The prepared material is then fed to a dry-grinding station where it is dry-shredded and dry-ground into small pieces. Use of the dry-shredded recycled material obtained by the aforementioned method is also disclosed. The dry-shredded recycled material may be used in hydroseeding or hydromulching applications, as thermal and/or acoustic insulation, as a casing soil or plant growing medium, as a heat storage means, or as water absorbent medium.</p> |
