PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide use of an anti-connexin 43 polynucleotide for therapy of abnormal scar or excess scar.SOLUTION: In humans and other mammals, a wound induces an organized complex cascade of cell and biochemical events, resulting in wound healing in most cases. The scar results from a healed wound, lesion in a disease, or surgical operation. The hypertrophic scar and keloid scar develop when tissue response is unbalanced with the scar tissue amount necessary for normal repair and healing. The present invention relates to a method, compound, composition, kit and product comprising an anti-connexin polynucleotide for prevention and/or therapy of abnormal scar including keloid scar, hypertrophic scar, pervasive scar and atrophic scar. |
