A clavicle splint, a back view of one embodiment of which is illustrated in Figure 1, comprises two straps 10 and 11 each of which is adapted to pass forwardly over a shoulder, down the front of the shoulder and rearwardly under the armpit; permanently secured, for example by stitching 17, under each strap in the region thereof which in the operative position of the splint will be situated above, in front of and below the cavicle, is a felt pad of sufficient bulk to form a fulcrum under the axilla 18 for lateral traction when the arm is lowered. One end of each strap is adapted to fasten to the opposite end of the other strap, buckles 13 and 14 for effecting such fastening preferably being provided on one end of each strap; the straps are secured together, for example by sewing, at their crossover point 12. In an alternative embodiment for larger patients, a back view of which is illustrated in Figure 3, one end of each strap is adapted to fasten to the lower end of a vertical strap 19 at the upper end of which is secured the other end of each strap; buckles for effecting such fastening preferably are provided on the lower end of the vertical strap. Each felt pad may be enclosed in stockinet, each pad, stockinet and strap being secured together by stitching which preferably extends for the length of the pad.
