[Problem] To provide a molded solid acid production method in which costs can be reduced by using a woody raw material, and in which by heat treating the woody raw material together with a synthetic resin binder, a deterioration in catalyst performance caused by being coated with a binder is prevented, the degree of freedom in terms of shape design is high and the molded solid acid has an appropriate hardness. [Solution] A synthetic resin binder-molded solid acid production method has the following: a raw material kneading step (S10) in which a kneaded woody raw material product is obtained by kneading a woody raw material powder (M) with a synthetic resin binder (B); a molding step (S20) in which a raw material molded body is obtained by molding the kneaded woody raw material product into a prescribed shape; a heat treatment step (S30) in which a heat treated molded body is obtained by subjecting the raw material molded body to heat treatment in an inert atmosphere; and a sulfonation step (S40) in which a molded solid acid is obtained by introducing sulfo groups into the heat treated molded body. |
