PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polyether amine under the use of a cobalt catalyst.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing a polyether amine represented by the formula 1, R(NRR)(1)[wherein, n represents a number of 1 to 20; Rrepresents an organic group having 2 to 600 oxyalkylene groups; Rand Rare the same or different and represent hydrogen or an organic group having 1 to 400 carbon atoms], wherein a compound represented by the formula 2 is bonded to a compound represented by the formula 3, R(OH)(3) in the presence of hydrogen, the metal content of the catalyst is at least 80 mass% of cobalt or at least 80 mass% of cobalt and aluminum in the case of a Raney catalyst to the dried and reduced catalyst without a carrier which is optionally present and at that case, the catalyst contains less than 5 mass% of copper. |
