A distributed X-ray device externally provided with a thermionic cathode, the device comprising: a vacuum box (3), sealed all around and having high vacuum inside; a plurality of electron emission units (1) independent of each other and arranged on the side wall of the vacuum box (3) in a linear array; an anode (2) installed in the middle part within the vacuum box (3), the anode paralleling the linear arrangement of electron emission units (1) in the length direction, and forming a preset angle with the mounting plane of the electron emission units (1) in the width direction; a power supply and control system (7) having a high-voltage power supply (702), a focusing power supply (704), an emission control device (703), and a control system (701). The electron emission units (1) comprise: heating filaments (101); cathodes (102) connected to the heating filaments (101); insulating supports (103) encompassing the cathodes (102) and the filaments (101); focusing electrodes (104) configured on the top of the insulating supports (103) in the form of being located over the cathodes (102); connection fasteners (105) configured over the focusing electrodes (104) and hermetically connected to the wall of the vacuum (3); and filament leads (106) connected to the emission control device (703) through the insulating supports (103).
