PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chemical conversion treatment solution for metallic surface and a metallic surface treatment method, which allow for formation of a chemical conversion coating film having superior corrosion resistance and adhesion to a coating film, on a metallic base material surface although containing neither chromium nor fluorine, and which are suitable to industrialization.SOLUTION: There is provided a reaction precipitation type chemical conversion treatment solution for chromium- and fluorine-free metallic surface as a chemical conversion treatment solution for chromium- and fluorine-free metallic surface containing: at least one kind of compound (A) selected from among a water-soluble titanium compound and a water-soluble zirconium compound; and an organic compound (B), as a stabilizer, which has two to three functional groups of at least one kind, selected from among a hydroxyl group, a carboxyl group, an amino group, and a phosphonic acid group in one molecule. The organic compound (B) is at least one kind selected from among an organic compound having one carboxyl group and one hydroxyl group, an organic compound having one carboxyl group and one amino group, an organic compound having one carboxyl group and two amino groups, an organic compound having two carboxyl groups and one amino group, an organic compound having two carboxyl groups and one hydroxyl group, an organic compound having two to three carboxyl groups, an organic compound having two phosphonic acid groups and one hydroxyl group, salts of them, and alcohol having two to three hydroxyl groups. The content of the compound (A) is 0.1 to 10 mmol/L, the content of the organic compound (B) is 2.5 to 10 times as large as the metal content of the compound (A), and pH of the chemical conversion treatment solution is 2.0 to 6.5. |
