PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new polymer or a new oligomer containing a sulfinate group {P-(SO)X, where, x is a metal cation or Hor an ammonium ion}, and to provide a polymer and a film obtained by alkylation of the sulfinate group with an electrophilic substance having one, two or a few by further reacting the resulting sulfinated polymer.SOLUTION: There is provided a polymer or an oligomer obtained by completely or partially reducing a polymer or an oligomer containing at least an SOY group {where, Y is F, Cl, Br, I, OR or NR(R is alkyl and/or aryl and/or H), N-imidazole or N-pyrazole} using a reducing agent in a suspension or a solution state. In addition, there is provided a polymer or an oligomer by a method of reacting an electrophilic substance and a sulfinated polymer by S-alkylation. |
