This storage battery system is connected to a power grid and operates on the basis of a charging/discharging request from an EMS. The storage battery system is provided with: a storage battery; a BMU that monitors the state of the storage battery; a PCS that has the function of charging the storage battery by converting AC power from the power grid to DC power, and the function of discharging to the power grid by converting the DC power from the storage battery to AC power; and a control device. The control device is configured in a manner so as to receive the charging/discharging request from an EMS and the storage battery information supplied from the BMU, and to control the PCS on the basis of the charging/discharging request and the storage battery information. The control device is provided with a charging/discharging command unit that calculates the chargeable/dischargeable power on the basis of the storage battery information, and with the chargeable/dischargeable power as a constraint, determines a charging/discharging command to the PCS on the basis of the charging/discharging request. |
