PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a near-field light generating device capable of molding a near-field light generating element on a surface opposed to a medium of a light guide with ease and high accuracy, and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: A first light guide, a second light guide provided on an optical axis of the first light guide, and a separation portion between the first light guide and the second light guide are provided. Next, a metal material is injected in the separation portion to form a metal film at a cross section of the second light guide, and etching is performed on the metal film using the first light guide as a mask to form the metal film as a near-field light generating element on an optical axis of the second light guide. |
