<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a sidewall from being excessively deformed when a side door that closes a door opening formed in a sidewall of a vehicle and is fastened to an opening edge is deformed to the outside of the sidewall by an impact received at a collision. <P>SOLUTION: The side part of the vehicle includes: a hollow closed cross-sectional surface structural sidewall 9 of the vehicle body 3 having outer/inner panels 22, 23; the door opening 13 formed in the sidewall 9; a side door 14 that openably and closably closes the door opening 13 from the outside of the vehicle body 3; a fastening tool 19 that is attached to the outer panel 22 in the opening edge of the door opening 13 and removably fastens the door 14; and a reinforcement panel 25 that is provided in the inner sidewall 9 and whose front and rear portions are connected to the outer panel 22 to reinforce an attachment part of the fastening tool 19 to the outer panel 22.
