PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to provide power-supply voltage suitable for intended operation speed in accordance with a variation in threshold voltage of a transistor in an integrated circuit, without requiring complex control.
SOLUTION: A voltage regulator circuit comprises: an input terminal 1 to which voltage to be stabilized is input; an output terminal 2 that outputs stabilized voltage; a common terminal 3 that is set at constant voltage having a potential difference between the input terminal 1 and the output terminal 2; a differential amplifier 4 that includes a positive input terminal and a negative input terminal; a current control element 5 that controls a current flowing from the input terminal 1 to the output terminal 2, on the basis of output of the differential amplifier 4; a voltage-dividing circuit 6 that divides voltage with the potential difference between the output terminal 2 and the common terminal 3, and feeds the voltage back to the positive input terminal of the differential amplifier 4; and a threshold reference voltage source 7 that receives electricity supply from the output terminal 2 but does not depend on the voltage of the output terminal 2, and outputs voltage, which is proportional to threshold voltage of a transistor in the integrated circuit on the basis of the voltage of the common terminal 3, to the negative input terminal of the differential amplifier 4.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
|
