<p>The invention provides a method and an apparatus for manufacturing a coated rod having excellent surface state in a stable manner and a coated rod. When manufacturing the coated rod covered with barrel-shaped covering body (2) at the periphery of the core bar (1) having regulated cross section shape; making the hollow portion of the covering body (2) boost, thus to make the covering body (2) expand in the transversal direction inside an external barrel member (3) having a hollow cross section similar to the cross section shape of the above mentioned core rod (1); and after inserting the core rod (1) into the hollow section of the covering body (2), carrying covering operation and fixing the covering body (2) upon the surface of the core rod 1 by eliminating the boosting state inside the hollow section of the covering body (2) to make the covering body (2) contract.</p> |
