<p>PURPOSE: A terminal and a method for controlling the same are provided to expand the meaning of a keyword extracted from a voice command to perform voice recognition, thereby exactly recognizing the voice command. CONSTITUTION: A microphone(122) inputs a voice command. A controller(180) detects keywords from the voice command and then expands the meaning of the detected keywords. The controller detects the topic matched with the expanded keywords among topics. The controller executes a specific menu or service corresponding to the matched topic.
