1. A method for detecting a biological entity containing a lipid membrane comprising:
a) providing:
i) a sample suspected of containing a biological entity containing a lipid membrane;ii) a detection device comprising a substrate comprising at least one detection region;iii) mesogens; b) contacting said detection region with said sample; c) contacting said sample with said mesogens, and d) detecting the presence of said biological entity containing a lipid membrane by observation of a change in said mesogens due to contact with said lipid membrane. |
