PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a separator for a capacitor having strong surface strength, and also to provide the separator for the capacitor manufactured by the manufacturing method.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a manufacturing method of a separator for a capacitor which contains a beaten cellulose fiber and a synthetic fiber and forms a wet fiber web by a wet papermaking method. The manufacturing method of the separator for the capacitor is characterized in that a dried fiber web obtained by drying the wet fiber web is re-wetted with water and re-dried while being pressed to a metal heat roll using a support body. The separator for the capacitor is manufactured by this manufacturing method.
