PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat belt retractor which is formed in a compact structure, can perform a proper lock operation and can smoothly give a seat belt tension, and a seat belt device equipped with the seat belt retractor.SOLUTION: An energy absorption mechanism 20 for restricting a lod applied onto a seat belt thereby absorbing and alleviating an energy of a crewman includes: a first torsion bar 21 which is concentrically built in a spool 12, one end part of which is held by the spool 12, the other end of which can be locked by a lock mechanism 60, and to which a turning force is applied by a torsional force; a second torsion bar 24 which is eccentrically built in the spool 12, one end part of which can be locked by the lock mechanism 60, and to which a turning force is applied by a torsional force; and a movement member 25 which rotates integrally to the spool 12, and moves between a first position where the member 25 holds the other end part of the second torsion bar 24 and a second position where the member 25 is separated from the other end part of the second torsion bar 24. |
