PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoelectric power generation element having high power generation efficiency.SOLUTION: A thermoelectric power generation element 1 has an emitter 2 generating thermal electrons, and a collector 3 collecting the thermal electrons. The emitter 2 has: an emitter substrate 21 having electrical conductivity; a low resistance layer 22 which is laminated on the emitter substrate 21, and is formed of an n-type diamond semiconductor containing phosphorus as a donor; and an electron emission layer 23 which is laminated on the low resistance layer 22, and is formed of an n-type diamond semiconductor containing nitrogen as a donor. The collector 3 has at least a collector substrate 31 having electrical conductivity, and is arranged so as to face the emitter 2 through a gap d. The film thickness of the electron emission layer 23 is 40 nm or less. |
