PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To blow a fuse on the occurrence of an overcharge state in a battery module when charging the battery module, without provision of a heater to blow the fuse.SOLUTION: The overcharge protection device includes a switch unit and a control unit. The switch unit includes a plurality of switch elements, each connected in series, which are connected in parallel to a fuse connected between a storage battery and a charge unit for charging the storage battery. The control unit detects an output voltage of the storage battery, and when the detected output voltage exceeds a predetermined overcharge detection voltage, switches on the plurality of switch elements to make a short circuit between the positive and negative electrode terminals of the storage battery. |
