PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce loss of an inverter.SOLUTION: A motor controller (15) for controlling a motor system comprising a power converter (13) including a switching element (Qup) and a three phase AC motor (14) comprises: generation means (156u, 156v, 156w) for generating modulation signals (Vmu, Vmv, Vmw) by adding a third harmonic signal (Vh1, Vh2) to phase voltage command signals (Vu, Vv, Vw); and control means (157) for controlling the switching element according to magnitude correlation between the modulation signals and a carrier signal (C). The third harmonic signal includes, in each phase, a signal component (Vh2) for making the absolute value of a peak value of a signal level of the modulation signal be larger than the absolute value of a peak value of a signal level of the carrier signal. |
