PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection member for an elevator balance weight frame for fitting to an intermediate part in a height direction of a vertical frame with more sureness and easiness.SOLUTION: There are provided a fitting stage 4 provided between a pair of adjoining balance weights 3 among a plurality of balance weights 3 arrayed in a height direction, and a connection member 5 for a vertical frame which is provided across a pair of vertical frames 21 and runs between the pair of balance weights 3 to which the fitting stage 4 is provided. A dimension of the fitting stage 4 in a depth direction of the balance weight 3 is smaller than the dimension of the balance weight 3 in the depth direction of the balance weight 3.
