<p>A disk brake device (1) has a rotor (4), a carrier (5), a caliper (7), an inner pad (43), and a braking operation mechanism. The braking operation mechanism includes a base plate (35) held by the caliper (7); a wedge plate (37) which holds the inner pad (43); a first motion conversion mechanism which moves the wedge plate (37) in the direction perpendicular to a braking surface (4a) while moving the wedge plate (37) to slide in the rotating direction of the rotor (4); an electric motor which includes a motor output shaft which outputs a rotational driving force; and a second motion conversion mechanism which includes a cam drive shaft (170) and moves the wedge plate (37) to slide in the rotating direction of the rotor (4) in parallel to the braking surface (4a). The electric motor is attached to the caliper (7) such that the motor output shaft is positioned on the outer circumferential side with respect to the cam drive shaft (170). The disk brake device further includes a driving force transmission mechanism which transmits the rotational driving force of the motor output shaft to the cam drive shaft (170).</p> |
