PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording method which suppresses deterioration of the image quality by suppressing variation in size of a recording medium through simple temperature control without enlargement of the apparatus.SOLUTION: An image recording method includes, in order, a first heating step of heating a recording medium, an image recording step of recording an image on a recording medium and a second heating step of heating the recording medium recorded with the image. The image recording method has a stage in which the recording medium is elongated by the heating in the first heating step and a stage of shrinkage, in order. The heating in the first heating step is carried out until the time change rate of the shrinkage amount of the recording medium decreases to 0.001%/sec or smaller. |
