PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform efficient control in estimating at least one of its own position and direction, by means of image processing using an image formed by imaging a marker and by using a sensor detection result.SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus receives positioning information transmitted externally, specifies a receiving position of the positioning information in a predetermined coordinate system on the basis of the received positioning information, determines whether at least one of different markers arranged in a real world is located in a predetermined range based on the specified receiving position, acquires a captured image by causing an imaging apparatus to capture the image ahead when it is determined that the marker is located in the predetermined range, determines whether the acquired captured image includes the marker or not, and calculates at least one of position and direction thereof in the predetermined coordinate system. |
