PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detection device which is superior in versatility to be applicable without limitation to a specific moving body, and a moving body including the same.SOLUTION: A position detection device 1 includes: position identification means 10 which identifies a current position and angle of a moving body 2 by using a distance sensor 3 for measuring a distance from a moving body 2 to its periphery and map data stored from a storage unit 4 into read map data storage means 10b; and relative position calculation means 11 which calculates a relative position and a relative angle of the moving body 2 relative to a target position and a target angle of the moving body 2 which are set by input means 6. The position detection device 1 is configured to calculate a target degree of turning and a relative target angle from the relative position and output them to the moving body 2 as control target information, and the moving body 2 is configured to control the movement on the basis of the received control target information.
