1,140,191. Regulating fluid-flow; pure fluid amplifiers. CORNING GLASS WORKS. Feb.7, 1966 [Feb.16, 1965], No.5285/66. Heading G3H. A fluid-flow passage is provided with an open chamber so that a power stream is unaffected by downstream flow or load changes. A fluid stream is supplied through a passage 16 in a plate structure to a nozzle 20 and thence to a collector nozzle 22 and passage 18. A constant pressure chamber 24 is arranged between the nozzles, having openings 28, 30 connected by a channel, all of which are open to the ambient atmosphere. The passages 16, 18 may form the outlet passages of a pure fluid amplifier in which case the chambers of each outlet may be inter-connected.
|
