<p>A circuit for driving a light emitting diode (LED) according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises an input unit receiving an AC voltage from the outside, a rectifying unit receiving the AC voltage from the input unit and rectifying the same, a smoothing unit receiving the rectified AC voltage from the rectifying unit and smoothing the same, a first lamp unit disposed in series to the smoothing unit and turned on or turned off upon receiving the AC voltage, a second lamp unit disposed in parallel to the smoothing unit and turned on or turned off upon receiving the smoothed AC voltage from the smoothing unit, a discharging unit disposed in parallel to the smoothing unit and forming a discharging path for discharging the AC voltage charged in the smoothing unit when the second lamp unit is turned off, and a driving circuit unit detecting an input voltage input to the input unit or detecting a current flowing in the first lamp unit or the second lamp unit and adjusting a current flowing in the first lamp unit or the second map unit when a preset particular voltage is detected or a current equal to or greater than a preset particular current is detected.</p> |
