1. A method for producing at least one amplicon based on a target DNA, the method comprising:
(a) providing the target DNA; (b) providing a DNA amplification reaction mixture comprising an oligocation-oligonucleotide conjugate primer, a DNA polymerase having a strand displacement activity, and a dNTP mixture; and (c) amplifying at least one portion of the target DNA using the DNA amplification reaction mixture of step (b) to produce the at least one amplicon, wherein the oligocation-oligonucleotide conjugate primer comprises an oligocation moiety covalently conjugated to the 5′ end of an oligonucleotide sequence, and wherein the amplification is performed under isothermal conditions. |
