PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating radioactive materials that requires no large disposal field.SOLUTION: An adsorbent includes a carrier and an adsorbate that is carried by the carrier and adsorbs radioactive materials, and both the carrier and the adsorbate are made of organic materials. The adsorbent is caused to contact with radioactive materials to allow the adsorbent to adsorb the radioactive materials. The adsorbent having adsorbed the radioactive materials is caused to burn.
