PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce or avoid data retransfer from an RN to a DeNB during handover, to suppress a data amount at a minimum level, and to shorten a handover completion time.SOLUTION: A relay node (RN) is arranged between an evolved Node B (eNB) and a wireless transmission/reception unit (WTRU) to relay data of the eNB and the WTRU. An RN receives a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) protocol data unit (PDU) from a serving donor evolved Node B (DeNB), and transmits it to the WTRU. The RN decides handover on the basis of a measurement report received from the WTRU, and transmits a handover request message or a control message to the serving DeNB after including a PDCP sequence number (SN) unsuccessful in first transmission therein. Next, the serving DeNB discards the PDCP PDU having an older SN than the PDCP SN unsuccessful in the first transmission. |
