PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for ion exchange treatment, which hardly causes a warp even if a glass substrate has a large size.SOLUTION: A method for producing a tempered glass substrate comprises melting a glass raw material, then forming the obtained molten glass into a plate-like form to obtain a glass substrate having a long side dimension of 1,000 mm or more and a short side dimension of 500 mm or more, and performing an ion exchange treatment in such a state that the glass substrate is inclined. Thereby, a compressive stress layer is formed in a surface of the glass substrate. |
