The present invention achieves an information exchange/sharing method, as well as an information exchange/sharing system for implementing the same, with which information can be exchanged/shared even when all combinations of requesting users and providing users have not been registered in a system as trading relationships. An information request comprising a part name and information indicative of an anonymous or information-requesting user name is received via a network from an arbitrary terminal of an information-requesting user. An information storage unit is searched on the basis of the received part name. A determination as to whether information pertaining to the received part name can be provided to an anonymous user of such information is made on the basis of information indicative of whether a relevant record can be provided to the anonymous user. If the determination is that the information pertaining to the received part name can be provided to the anonymous user, the information pertaining to the received part name is acquired from the relevant record, and transmitted to the terminal of the information-requesting user.
