Systems and methods are provided for message prompting. For example, a communication client corresponding to a first user acquires a first communication message pushed by a communication server; the communication client acquires avatar information of a second user related to the first communication message; and the communication client displays a prompt of the first communication message in a preset prompting area, wherein the prompt contains the avatar information of the second user.

acquiring, by a communication client corresponding to a first user, a first communication message pushed by a communication server; acquiring, by the communication client, avatar information of a second user related to the first communication message; and displaying, by the communication client, a prompt of the first communication message in a preset prompting area, wherein the prompt contains the avatar information of the second user.
