<p>A nonaqueous-electrolyte secondary battery that excels in terms of capacity—in particular, initial capacity. The moisture content of the negative electrode thereof is set between 50 and 1,000 ppm, inclusive, and a cyclic sulfonate derivative that can be represented by general formula (1) is used as a protective-film-forming additive that is added to the nonaqueous electrolyte.
