[Class 58] [Also in Group VI] Cleaned wheat or other cereal and soya beans are separately conditioned, cooked and pulped, the beans being also husked, mixed in the required proportions, dressed, flaked, sifted and toasted ready for use. The cereal may be passed through a separator for the removal of rubble, dust and small seeds, a scourer for the removal of dirt pellets &c. a cylinder for removal of barley and cockle, a washer, a whizzer and a conditioner. The soya beans may be passed through a magnetic separator for the removal of metallic and.other foreign matter, a washer, a whizzer, an aspirator, a conditioner and a husking mill, steeped in boiling water, drained, passed through a steaming machine for disembitterment, and then through a drying machine. About equal quantities of the cereal and beans are fed from separate hoppers to batch cookers then through a sweep dryer and pulping rolls into a mixer, the mixture being passed through a pelleter, a dryer, a dressing reel, flaking rolls and a sifter and finally to a toasting ove. |
