PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform drive in which a display delay is minimized, without changing the position of a screen projected in such a state that dot by dot mode is maintained.SOLUTION: A memory control part controls the reading of image data from an image memory by using an inputted vertical synchronous signal as a reference. A liquid crystal control part generates a drive start signal by using the vertical synchronous signal as the reference and controls the drive of a display device by using the drive start signal as the reference, based on the image data read from the image memory by the memory control part. A projection optical system projects an image outputted by the control of the liquid crystal control part onto the screen. A CPU changes the timing of starting the reading of the image data from the image memory by the memory control part, in response to a change request on the display delay of the image. Further, the CPU corrects the deviation of the projection position of the image caused by the change of the timing of starting the reading. |
