<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus (117) for a magnetic resonance imaging system (101) and, more specifically, to a device (117) and a method for additionally processing a reception signal from the magnetic resonance imaging system. The apparatus (117) is characterized in being configured to determine a type of additional processing units (analog to digital converter (ADC), field-programmable gate array (FPGA)) of signals (RF-a, RF-b), which are transmitted to the magnetic resonance imaging systems (101, 117) via local coils (106a, 106b) in the magnetic resonance imaging systems (101, 117), according to information (ToM, TmM) on local coil types of the local coils (106a, 106b) received in or from the local coils (106a, 106b). According to the present invention, a dual mode local-coil interface, which is compatible with different local-coil signal transmission methods, is provided.</p> |
