<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing apparatus comprising an AC heater for maintaining temperature and a DC heater for fixation, in which the fixing apparatus reduces the occurrence of flickers in print processing while maintaining a temperature of a fixing roller.SOLUTION: A fixing apparatus in operation always supplies power to an AC heater for maintaining a temperature, and controls the supply of power to the AC heater so that the temperature of a fixing roller reaches a control temperature lower than a fixing temperature capable of fixing an image. The fixing apparatus controls the supply of power to a DC heater for fixation so that the temperature of the fixing roller reaches a reference temperature lower than the fixing temperature and higher than the control temperature excluding when performing fixing processing on an image area including an image to be fixed on a sheet, and controls the supply of power to the DC heater so that the temperature of the fixing roller reaches a fixing temperature when performing fixing processing on the image area.</p> |
