PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio receiving device and an antenna selecting method that are able to prevent reduction in communication quality even if a large variation arises in noise powers included in reception signals of a plurality of antennas.SOLUTION: A radio receiving device according to an embodiment of the invention comprises a measuring unit, a calculating unit, an antenna selecting unit, and a signal outputting unit. The measuring unit divides reception signals received by each of the plurality of antennas into a plurality of elements determined by a prescribed time width and bandwidth, and measures signal strength per element or per group about which a plurality of elements are grouped. The calculating unit compares the signal strength measured per element between the plurality of antennas, selects one from the plurality of antennas per element on the basis of the comparison result, and calculates an evaluation value of each antenna corresponding to the number of times when each antenna is selected. The antenna selecting unit determines use antenna candidates on the basis of the evaluation value, and selects at least one antenna from the use antenna candidates. |
