PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trocar being applicable to a flexible indwelling catheter as a catheter with a trocar, imposing less pain on a patient and reducing damage of the organ caused by a procedure.SOLUTION: A trocar is formed by assembling a rigid inner core having a sharp edge shape, with a hard sheath tube freely externally-inserted around the inner core and freely internally-inserted into the indwelling catheter. The proximal ends of the inner core and the sheath tube are detachably locked to each other. When the trocar formed by assembling the inner core with the sheath tube is incorporated in the indwelling catheter, the lengths of the inner core and the sheath tube are so set that the distal end of the sheath tube comes into contact with a shoulder part of a stepped narrow diameter part formed on the inside of the distal end of the indwelling catheter at a position where the distal-end sharp part protrudes from the distal end of the indwelling catheter by a prescribed length. |
