<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more smoothly perform connection work between a preceding metal plate and a subsequent metal plate to be fed to a working machine.SOLUTION: A metal plate connecting device comprises: an upstream side table and a downstream side table on each of which a continuous metal plate is placed, and which are disposed at an inlet side of a working machine that performs working to metal plates by taking in continuous metal plates (2, 12); a first guide ruler edge provided to the upstream side table for guiding a cutting blade which cuts the tip of the metal plate placed on the upstream side table (3); a second guide ruler edge provided to the downstream side table for guiding a cutting blade which cuts the rear end of the metal plate placed on the downstream side table; a guide part for guiding the side edge of the metal plate, which is provided to at least one side edge of each of the upstream side table and the downstream side table; and temporary fixing means (16) for temporarily fixing the preceding metal plate and a subsequent new metal plate in a state where cut ends (2b, 12a) cut by the cutting blade are made to butt against each other, on the downstream side table respectively.</p> |
