The present invention relates to a system for controlling an electronic device using wireless communications, which can minimize standby power consumption of the electronic device. According to the present invention, the system comprises a remote control and a plurality of electronic devices. The remote control transmits a signal synchronized with each of the electronic devices through an RF signal, and remotely controls the electronic devices. The electronic device performs the following procedures: detecting a preamble in a signal received from the remote control; activating an RF reception part to receive a control signal of the remote control and then receiving a related data packet; checking a specific field of the received data packet; and controlling an RF interface based on whether the specific field matches a pre-assigned unique identifier.
