<p>A walking stick includes an upper section (2 figure 1) and a lower section (4 figure 1) connected by a boss assembly 6. The upper section comprises three elongate arm members 18 and the lower section comprises three elongate leg members 32. The elongate members of each section are mounted to a hinge located on the boss assembly. Each member can pivot between a first position in which it lies generally parallel with the other two elongate members of its section and a second position in which it is inclined at an angle to the other two elongate members of its section. A foldable seat member 20 is secured to the upper end of the three elongate arm members, such that when the elongate members are in their second positions the walking stick defines a stool. The elongate leg members may comprise an inner elongate leg 36 telescopically connected to a hollow outer elongate leg 34.</p> |
