<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for measurement of a network band, along with a program, capable of measuring an available band or achievable UDP throughput in a short time. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of measuring packets of packet sizes to be increased or decreased sequentially are transmitted from a transmitting side at a predetermined transmission interval (step S1). At a receiving side, the measuring packets transmitted are received and a reception interval of the measuring packets is measured (step S2). The transmission interval in transmitting the measuring packets is compared with the reception interval upon receiving the measuring packets and a measuring packet having the maximum packet size in the measuring packets, of which the reception interval and the transmission interval are equal, is used to calculate an available band (step S3). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
